Bratwurst

Ingredients

300 g seitan flour, 30 g yeast flakes, 1 clove garlic, 2 Msp. cumin, 4 tsp. paprika powder, 2 Msp. pepper, 3 tsp. salt, 2 pinches sugar, 2 tsp. onion powder, 6 tbsp. oil, 1 tsp. mustard, 4 tbsp. soy sauce, 6 tbsp. tomato puree, 350 ml water

Preparation

Place in a bowl Seitan flour, cumin, garlic, yeast flakes, paprika, salt, pepper and onion powder.

In a second bowl add the oil, mustard, soy sauce, tomato paste and water.

Mix the Ingredients well in each bowl, the liquid Ingredients best with a whisk.

Pour the liquid Ingredients into the dry Ingredients and knead well.

Now form 10-12 sausages with a diameter of approx. 2 cm.

Wrap the sausages first in baking paper and then firmly in aluminium foil.

Bake in the oven at 180°C for 50 minutes, then turn off the oven and let the sausages rest in the oven for another 15 minutes. Remove from oven and unwrap immediately.

Tip: You can also freeze the sausages. The sausages taste cold and warm, can be fried or cut into soups. If you're planning a barbecue, get on the grill. Surely you can also vary the spices.
